'Pears and Silver Tea Service'

I painted this serene work with fresh pears from a garden pear tree. This is the same tea service that appears in the other painting I produced in the same month, Dulcinea, now part of a private collection. I love the combination of sturdiness and grace in these silver pieces. The palette speaks of late summer, with lush fruit still ripe for enjoyment, fading into the more placid colors of fall. The colors of the seasons turn but certain elements remain constant in their midst.
